DIY Christmas Drink coasters

So are you all ready for Christmas??  I think I am, I hope I am anyway!  LOL
I just wanted to share with you a set of 4 D.I.Y drink coasters I made to give as a gift.
I used MyMemories digital scrapbook software to make my 4x4 photos
along with 4 different .png files from the "Holiday Owls" pattern set from Designs on Cloud 9 for the centers of my tiles.  I framed the .png images with some matching digital papers and then stamped them using 4 different phrases from the  "oh Christmas Puns" and "Wintery Puns" collections from Joyslife.com stamps.
I put some Stickles on for a Blingy affect - everything looks better with a little glitter!
Make sure you clean you tiles before applying Mod Podge.
I put one layer of Mod Podge over tile and put down my photo making sure to push it down from the center to the edges to eliminate any air pockets and let dry.  I put 2 layers of Mod Podge over the photo tiles letting dry between coats and I also sealed them with 2 coats of sealer, also letting dry between coats.
Finally I attached a piece of felt to the bottom of the tile to protect your surfaces,
tied them up with a pretty ribbon and Whala!!
 A cute handmade gift!

Teacher and Bus Driver Gift Bags

I did a little scrap lift from my DT Sister Yolie.
She made a gift bag and matching card set and I loved it!  Thanks for the inspiration girl!!
I was going to just give the truffles in the bag that I purchased them, but OMGosh what kinda crafter would I be if I did that!
So off to the craft room I went...
I used Designs on Cloud 9's "Basic Bags" "Tags and Tabs" and the snowflakes from "Snowmand Joy" pattern sets.
The "Nice / Naughty" stamp is from Joyslife.com

Santa Bottle

This weeks Joy's Life DT assignment was to show a technique.
Well I am no teacher, but I did what I could. :0)
This would make a great hostess gift, you could play around and re-size it to make wedding favors too...oh the possibilities!
(if your interested in purchasing  the svg for this bottle cover CLICK HERE)
I used the "Oh Christmas Puns" Merry Christmas stamp on the front of the tag which came from
here is a close up of the pretty scrolly "Merry Christmas" stamp
and the back of the tag "to:" and "from:"
( The bottle cover in the tut was another one I made and it shows a different look)

Angry Bird Birthday Card

I just wanted to share a Birthday card that I made for my son's 4th Birthday.  He loves Angry Birds... so I had to find some that I could convert into a cutting file and make him a card.
He just LOVED it!
I used "Holiday Occasion" and "Everyday Occasion" stamp sets from Joyslife.com

Holiday Cookie Box

It's time for quick ideas to hand out those yummy treats you bake or buy (I won't tell) LOL
I used Joyslife.com rubber stamp "Holiday Treats" from her Wintery Puns set which you can find HERE.
I also used an adorable gingerbread man .png  from the "Gingerbread House", and a scalloped circle from the "Scalloped Shapes" pattern sets from Designs on Cloud 9.
I picked up the "Fry Box" a couple years ago at Paper Pastime Blog .

Joy's Life Happy Holidays Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joys Life Happy Holidays Blog Hop
If you happened here by pure luck, then hop over to the start of the hop - Joys life
For this hop we are featuring Christmas/Winter Projects
I have 2 projects to share today...
The first is a layout of my kiddo's "All Bundled Up" to go in the snow
I added the "stay Toasty" stamp from Wintery Puns set.
I thought it fit nicely with the theme of my layout and they certainly were toasty :0)
here is a closer look at that cute "stay Toasty"stamp
Now for the second project...
I made a Holiday easel card using the Wintery Puns set "Happy Holly day" stamp
the cardinal paper piecing and the scalloped oval  are from Designs on Cloud 9's "Christmas Cardinal" and scalloped shapes pattern set.
