A Get Well Card

Kira & I made this Get Well card for her BFF in her Pre-K class, she has been out for 3 weeks (just found this out Wednesday) with pneumonia. Kira has been saying on & off that Gabriella has a bad cough and she wasn't in school today. I had no idea that it had been 3 consecutive weeks. Poor baby!!
I hope the teacher will give me her address to mail the card or maybe they will get it to her. I don't know what the rules are.
The scallopped circle and inner circles are a file from Penny Ducan's blog! Check her out, she has awesome svg's for free. Thanks Penny!
The little sick bear in bed is from My Scrap Chick.com.... adorable paper piecings for sale.

Finished Baby Brag Book ~Part 1~

This is my second Design Team project. If you didn't see my prior post, I made this book for my cousin who just had a baby last Thurs the 18th, all she has to do is add her favorite pictures.

I am very pleased with the way it came out...
I used cereal boxes to cut out all the pages. I do not have a binding machine so I just incorporated holes into the pages to cut and tied it together with matching ribbons.
I scraplifted the bones of the book from a very talented lady ~ Sentimental Scrapper ~ "I hope you don't mind Sentimental Scrapper" check out her blog, she does beautiful work.
All the animals used in the book are from ~ Jills Paper Jems ~ Cuddley Cuties Collection VOL1. Check out her store blog, she has great paper piecing to purchase in all different formats.

Cover of Baby Brag Book - the book is a little over 4x4

Page 1 ~ has a place for baby's name, date & time of birth and his weight & length
Page 2 ~BUNDLE OF LOVE (button) with a cute little giraffe peaking out of the side of the picture mat.

Page 3 ~ CUTE has a smiley little froggy
Page 4 a&b ~ these are 2 separate tags with toy embellies from the New Arrival cart.

Shot of the tags opened separately
Be sure to scroll down to see the rest of the book!

Finished Baby Brag Book ~Part 2~

Pages 5 a&b ~ BABY LOVE
Page 6 ~ cute little monkey holding the word love
Page 7 ~ BATH TIME adorable little elephant wearing a diaper and blowing bubbles out of his trunk (skittles or some call them dew drops)
Page 8 ~ large tag with a ducky button
Page 9 ~ Simple scalloped photo corners
Page 10 ~ SWEET little Teddy Bear holding a bottle button
Page 11 ~ A sweet little lamb for baby to count while having ...
Page 12 ~ SWEET DREAMS
Thank you for looking, I hope you like it... would love any feedback from all of you talented scrappers... do I need to add anything? I was thinking maybe something else on the lamb page like a saying "Ewe" are Adorable?? , but I just don't know if I should. What do you all think??

Pre~K Valentine Treat Boxes

I made these cute & simple treat boxes & put a few goodies in them for my daughter to take to her classmates for the "Love Fest" on Friday. I cut little cards and hearts for her to put together and put her classmates name on them (practice writting) and a little picture that she drew on each. I also made 3 simple cards for her teacher and the 2 paras & tied a chocolate lolli in them. Well, they closed school on Friday due to the snow that we got, so I am sending them in today. I also bake brownies on Thursday night & cut them into little hearts, needless to say they didn't make it until today LOL, so I made a new batch last night. Thanks for looking! :0)

Happy Valentines Day

I wanted to wish everyone a
Happy Valentines Day.

I also wanted to share that I may be designing for ~ Jills Paper Jems Cutting Corner ~ she has awesome paper piecing patterns! Click on the link to browse and shop! She is also a fabulous scrapper too, check out her other blog. ~ Jills Paper Jems ~ Adorable work!

I must say I am a little nervous, excited but nervous... this will be a first for me. I figure this will help me to get more scrapping of my kids done (so far behind) & maybe I can list some layouts for sale. My scrap area is just about up to par too, so this comes at a perfect time. I am not sure of when I will be starting, but I will be sure to post my projects.

Birthday Cake in a Box

Ioffered to test cut an svg file for Denise @ Paper Pastime (great blog, terrific tutorials and awesome files~ check her out). She made the file perfect (as usual) it cut just wonderfully for me.
I have to better piece the cake so that there is no space between "cake" layers, but for my first attempt I think I did an OK job. This file comes in perfect timing too... my BFF's b-day is tomorrow, my daughters 5th is next Fri & my sisters is the 28th. I will be a busy bee. Thanks Denise for the great file! Check out the link I included in this post (I didn't take a pic of box w/ lid.) She has it on her blog all done.

SOUS Feb 5th Sketch

WOW! I got two layouts done in one week! That is amazing for me lately. Well anywho , here is my take on this weeks sketch from Stuck on you Sketches! This is my daughter Kira's first time with Buddy Bear. He is the Pre~K bear that everyone gets to have a sleep over with & they have to read him a book (well the parents) and then write in his journal about his overnight stay. Needless to say Kira was super excited to have him for the first time! The flower on top of the layout is part of a pull out tag that I have put the journaling on. I did a little sewing on this one & made a tear bear head to represent Buddy Bear. I hope you like it!

Here is a couple of either Truffles or some type of cup cakes, thought they might be cute on a Valentine layout/card since they are a pair... I deleted the speckles out of the svg file.
Enjoy! Click here to download.

OMG!! Had to share...

I think I am going to make this to send into school for my daughters B-day. Its cut up pound cake lightly toasted w/ red frosting for the ketchup!
Isn't this just too cute!? Don't ya think the kids will get a kick out of it??

Storage for 2x2 dies???

Does anyone have a creative/inexspensive way to store those dies? I am trying to organize my stuff but I am also trying to get my 4 year olds stuff done too. Right now I have her dies in a zip loc & would like a way to store them so she could see them all w/o having to riffle through them. (makes a big mess for me)LOL!
