The Aquarium

Happy Hump Day!
I just wanted to share this weeks DT newsletter project...
The photos are from our vacation to the Outer Banks last year.  One of the things we did was take the kids to the Aquarium .  There was a pretend interactive sea turtle clinic where the kids are able to dress up, diagnose and treat the Sea Turtles, they had a BLAST!
I used "The Aquarium" pattern set from Designs on Cloud 9

Tear Critters on Parade Blog Hop

Welcome to the Tear Critters on Parade! If you came from Susanne's Blog then you are on the right parade route. If you just happened here by chance, then hop on over to the beginning of the parade route... Mindy's Blog ~ she is our hostess with the mostest :0).

There are 9 fuzzy stops on this parade you are at stop #6... What is a Tear Critter you may ask? A Tear Critter or Tear Bear are completed pieces made from mulberry paper. This specialty paper gives them their soft, fuzzy look.

Please be sure to leave a comment each blog for a chance at winning the hostess' blog candy!

The line up is at the bottom of this post if you get lost.

This is going to be a photo heavy post...lots of critters to showcase.
Most of my critter's are made using the Acrylic patterns from
On occasionI will make my own using an SVG file or my own shapes.
(I will note it below photo when I made my own from a svg pattern cut onto chipboard or cardboard)
The clothes and other accessories that are with my critters are mostly from

Teacher Appreciation purse ~ DT post

Oh I just love how this came out.
I wanted to give my Daughter's Teacher something for Teacher appreciation week that was not so geared toward "school or teaching". Yes,  I know that's what this "holiday" is all about, but I imagine they get so much stuff with apples and books, etc. so... I said to myself, "self, she is a very cutesy trendy girl and what girl doesn't love a new purse!"  So I think I am going to put maybe a gift card and some Hershey Kisses in it.   What could be better, a purse w/ money and chocolate to fuel the body to shop!?  LOL.  I hope she likes it!
I used the following patterns from
DesignsonCloud9.com (of course)
to make this cute little purse...
"Pillow Box"
"Tags and tabs"
"Sarah's Swirls".
