Spring Party Treats

I saw these carrot treat holders on the Cuttlebug Challeges Blog the other day & forgot all about making them until last night, so I hurried to throw together 15 of them between last night and this morning for Kira's Pre-K classmates for their Spring Party that they are having tomorrow.
Under the hurried circumstances I think they came out pretty cute... The kids will get a kick out of them none the less. My daughter thought they were the cutest things - but she is just a crafty little diva - she wants to make everything that I do... too cute. Thanks for looking!

A gift for our new niece

I am going to put this into a 12x12 shadow box & ship it off to FL as soon as my sister~in~law emails me her favorite picture of the new baby. I am going to put clear photo corners so that she may change out the picture as she gets older if she would like. I got the idea from AngelicaScrappenings (hers is much more beautiful, but I think I did OK)

Build~A~Bear lo part 1

This is the sketch from Got Sketch that I used. Instead of the Flower next to the title I used Dexter the Dog from Jills Paper Jems Cudley Cuties CD

If your wondering ... why a dog on a Build~A~Bear layout? Well, my daughter chose to make a dog instead of a Bear. These pictures are from our trip to Myrtle Beach, SC & our first trip to Build~A~ Bear Workshops... She had alot of fun & had to have all kinds of stuff as you can see some of her choices in the first picture in the layout, she is on my hubby's shoulder & you can't hardly see him.

Just thought I would share ~ 2nd post today

My crafting kitty.

She just recently started jumping onto the counter and sitting there while I scrap, well she actually tries to sit on what I am scrapping. LOL

This is my daughters scrapbook layout, she is right there beside me crafting away! She has now graduated to rummaging through all my draws, using my punches, markers & now she is using my chalks. Eeek! Little scared about that one... don't want holes dug into my chalks

SOUS ~ Chalk art

This is my take on this weeks sketch over @ SOUS ... & they added on a challenge to use 4 papers w/ different patterns....
Well, that is usually a big challenge for me, but I managed to get 5 on this one. The base paper, the photo mats, bracket page element, the chalk - ric-rac & flourish are from a very faint patterned paper & lastly the square under the photos. Yeah I managed to do it with out hating the layout. I actually love the way it came out.
It is raining so badly here today & hubby is home to hang with the kiddies, so I think it is a great day to get some scrapping done! ~ the heck with cleaning the house!! LOL
I started working on another layout last night with a sketch from Got Sketch by Valarie Salmon it is a 6 photo sketch - love multi photo sketches!

Organizing

Yesterday, since it was so nice and warm here 50*(heat wave), hubby & I cleaned out and organized our shed. Good Gosh did it need it!!. My hubby is NOT a very organized guy, he is the type to do a project and most of the time he either leaves tools where he used them or just puts them anywhere instead of where they belong & that leads to having to search for what he needs the next time he goes to use them. Which turns a 1 hour project into a 2 hour project due to playing hunt for the tools (and it's always my fault because "you must have moved them") LOL!! Anyway, it's nice and neat now and you can actually find what your looking for.


So today I decided to go through all my crafty stuff I had packed away from when I lived in my apartment (over 5 years ago). Whoa, I found so many goodies. I found, tons of ribbons, lace, buttons, little wooden lady bugs, flowers and more. Now I have come to the conclusion even with all the cabinets and the draws that I have in my new space I need more shelving to organize the way I want. The only problem is I have cinder block walls & hubby doesn't want to put any holes in the block. We are going to be putting up another wall with a doorway to close up a storage area (when is the big question), and I will be able to put shelves on that wall, but it is killing me to have to wait (not a patient person) to organize everything. This is why I have not posted any pics of my new space ~ it ain't done yet!!!! ~ Killing me!!!! Just thought I would share.
