OK your NEVER gonna believe this...

    To answer your question, Alcohol Ink can be used on Acrylic to color it. I've not done it to the patterns for fear that if it should come off I wouldn't want it to come off on my mulberry paper when I'm making something. I usually use colored dots or labels help organize my patterns and keep them straight.
