Now onto my project...

I made this altered composition book for my daughter. I am debating on whether or not to put her name on it or leave it as is. I guess I will ask her what she would like.

Now onto the project...

I made this Teacher's Survival Kit

using an empty Crystal light container (the tall ones)

I added the buttons to hide the seems where I wrapped the paper around, made a mat and attached the survival poem.

help yourself to the poem, I found it by doing a google search and combining a few I found

I couldn't leave the cap plain so , I put down some glue and sprinkled seed beads to pretty it up.

Backpack I.D tag First Day of 1st Grade

Well this was a last minute project! My daughter is starting 1st grade tomorrow and I thought, hmmm she needs an I.D tag for her backpack. Even though it was a quickie, I am happy with the way it turned out.

I made this tag from Designs on Cloud 9's School Bears Collection

I used a journal block stamp on the back, stamped the little hearts all over the pink card stock because it looked a little too plain...

filled in her info on the back, laminated it, added an eyelet, star brads for the "clasps" on the pockets, a key ring and Whala!

She is going to love it!

Kira's First Day of Pre-k

The date on the pic is wrong - should be 9/8/09

It was an uneventful send off, she gave hugs and kisses and off with the para she went, only turning around when I hollared out "bye boog, have a good day!!!!" Joe came home early to take her and pick her up. I shed a few tears, but not as bad as I thought I would be. We are going to take her out to dinner to her favorite... ~Chinese~ and let her tell us all about her first day. OMG, my baby girl is off to school!!!!
