Groovy

Hi all, It is so darn Hot here in NJ, that today was a crafty day in the nice cold basement while the kids play and watch movies down there with me. I finally got around to doing a page for my kids scrapbook ( I have so much cathcing up to do it's CRAZY!!)

Anywho, here is a personal layout I made using the...

Groovy pattern set from http://designsoncloud9.com .

(I used all the pieces from the set on this one page layout & they fit perfectly, I didn't even have to resize them when I imported them into SCAL2!)
I know the pics aren't from the sixties, but when I saw this set I thought of the pic of my daughter with the shades on making the peace sign w/ her hand... so I went with it. ~ Thanks for looking!

World Card Making day...

Here is one of my cards for the big day... I am still working on the other.
This is just a fun Halloween card. I wanted to make a green tear bear witch, I used my own pattern on the bear & Treasure Box Designs for the witch's costume... I apologize, but I forget where the broom & the cat came from.

Fishing with GG LO

Here is a layout based off of above sketch from sketchablities that I did of my Daughter & my Grandmother.
We call her GG...short for Great Grandma...
My daughter was teaching her how to play the game Let's Go Fishin'
Shhhh, GG is cheating ~ see how she is holding the fishing pole (click photo for a larger view) LOL!
Last pic on the lo is my daughter telling a TALL tale of the size fish she caught when she went fishing for the first time in SC.
Wouldn't be fishin without a TALL tale... LOL!
Thanks for looking!
xxx, Staci
I used Cley's fishing pole svg, one of Penny Ducan's Shapely heart svg's & I am truly sorry, but I don't remeber where I got the side border from. (If anyone knows I would love to give credit)
The font is called Fudger.
The little fish hanging off of the fishing line is made of a small oval and 2 tiny Prima flowers that I cut up to make lips and fins.

Blowing Bubbles Layout

Here is a two page layout I did using Allison Davis' July Sketch  (lovin her sketches) You MUST check her out if you like to scrap with a "road map" as I call it.
Here is a look at both pages together.... this has to be one of my fav layouts in a while....
The paper pieced bears are from Jills Paper Jems, she has some cute files for sale... check her out!

A look at page one ... I cut the bubbles out of vellum, chalked them with blue on the outer edges added a little blue, pink & green to create a prism look and added crystal stickles ontop of that.

Here is a close up of the vellum bubbles

and here is a look at page two... I placed vellum bubbles on this page also.
I added a circular journal stamp to stick with the round theme.
Still have to fill that in.

Thanks for looking and make sure to check out ...
Allisons blog - Scrapbooking Ali (no affiliation).... you won't be sorry!

Freezer Paper Tshirt ~ 2nd post today!

Kira's Kindergarten teacher sent home a letter to say Hi and a small list of items that she wanted the kids to have. One of the items on the list was a large shirt with the childs name on the front for their sloppy projects they do in class (great idea!) Well, being a crafter you all can relate... I could not just simply write her name across the front of the shirt and call it a day ... this is what I came up with...all done with svg's & SCAL2.

Cute right!~ Thanks for looking... more projects to come over the next few days.
Scroll down for todays free SVG! Have a great day!

WHALA.... simple teacher gift....

Thanks for looking, a few more projects to post over the next few days, so check back...

You are my Sunshine / no svg to share today (sorry)

This is a layout of my Son Aiden playing in the little pool we have set up on the deck.  The small pic on top is him saying enthusiastically "CHEESE" , he is such a ham!

A close up of some of the stitching and the title, an SVG title I got from Just Yolie's blog, she is a sweetie and shares alot of svg's & great projects.

The wave border & sun are svg's, but I don't remember where I got them from, but the flourish I picked up from Images by Heather M.  She is awesome, she has alot of great svg files and a wealth of tutorial for SCAL & Inkscape.

I hope you like it, I kinda love this one, so bright and cheery & he just looks so so cute!!!
Thanks for stopping by.  xxx, Staci

Four

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!
Hope everyone is having a great day celebrating with family and friends, I just wanted to post this before we head out to the neighbors for their annual 4th of July bash.

I am on a roll, this is the second layout I have completed in two days.. WOW!!, and I have a third that is just waiting on pictures. Have you ever taken a picture and load it up onto the computer and it just hits you right away - "I need to scrap this" and you know exactly what you want on it, from the title to the papers, colors everything. OF COURSE IT DOES!! WHAT AM I ASKING ~ YOU ARE A SCRAP~BOOKER!!
well, that is what happened to me and I don't print my pics from the computer (don't like the way my printer does them) so it is sitting on my work area awaiting it's photos.

Anywho, this is my daughter Kira at age 4. I used a sketch from scrap a-little-sketch.com / sketch #27. The daisies are an svg from Shirley's blog ~ Paper,Scissors, Ink. The daisy circle is from Paulo's blog SCAL-files (I think). I don't have a clue where I got the fence file from (looks like the sizzix die cut fence). I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Firework SVG

Here is a firework SVG to use on those 4th of July projects... the dust coming from the firework you will have to draw in, there were too many tiny pieces & I don't think they would have cut well at all. You may need to cut this a little on the larger size due to the thin streams. Hope it cuts well (not tried it yet) Click here to download. Enjoy!

A Get Well Card

Kira & I made this Get Well card for her BFF in her Pre-K class, she has been out for 3 weeks (just found this out Wednesday) with pneumonia. Kira has been saying on & off that Gabriella has a bad cough and she wasn't in school today. I had no idea that it had been 3 consecutive weeks. Poor baby!!
I hope the teacher will give me her address to mail the card or maybe they will get it to her. I don't know what the rules are.
The scallopped circle and inner circles are a file from Penny Ducan's blog! Check her out, she has awesome svg's for free. Thanks Penny!
The little sick bear in bed is from My Scrap Chick.com.... adorable paper piecings for sale.
