Simple layout, just stiched some scrap patterned paper together on a mat, added a pic of course, some stiching around the photo and entire layout, buttons & a title (I tried to mimic the colors in his bib onto the title) Kinda tied the bottom patterend paper to the top of the layout.
This is a picture of my son Aidens first caught on camera smile ~ he is almost 2 months old in this photo. This is Creative Scrappers #107 sketch. Well off to work soon & then to Atlantic City for a few days, just to sit on the beach, take the kids to the Cape May County Zoo & chillax!!!

ReplyDeleteI don't know how to machine baste, I get a needle and thread to baste the ends. If you hand baste try to stay close to the edge and gather the fabric as you go. Here's a video on how to machine baste, I hope you have better luck than I did! LOL

The center piece and brown trim I added myself. I used the pattern by triming to the width I wanted, then measuring length to the cover; I added 1/2 seam allowance...then used the same pattern to get the brown strips by adjusting the width. Stitched and iron out the seams. I hope this helps. Here's my email address: justyolie at gmail dot com
I sent you the wrong video. Here's the right videow on how to machine baste! Ihttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUqkJuIsaJA
