Water Distressed Cardstock Flowers

Well, when I saw these on Gabrielle's Blog ~ Such a Pretty Mess, I knew that I had to play. I made them all one color, but in the future I will use some complimenting colors. They were so easy peasy, my 5 year old daughter even made one... hers is the yellow one.
Pretty good right! Great project for the little ones they can crumple up the flowers once they are spritzed with the water of glimmer mist.
(she said to me... " you really want me to crumple up this pretty flower???")
I dabbed the edges with my cats eye ink after they were all assembled, I was too excited to see them put together...and a little lazy, really I am an impatient person, I want to see the results right away... no time to detail...LOL! My mom says I am my fathers child... she is like OCD when it comes to detail - scary how different we are... both Aries too. Go figure!
Anyway on to the pics of the flowers...

But on this one below I took a little time and I inked the edges of this one and stamped a flourishy image on each layer of it. When I sprayed it with the water the image faded and ran a bit, but I like the effect it gave it ...a soft look. Now I have to cut out some leaves and make somthing to put them on.
Thanks for looking! Have a Great Holiday!

  1. Last night I viewed several flower tutorials, getting prepared for the flower swap over CIF group. By far this is a very simple way to make beautiful flowers!
